Description
VG 0.12% / Rinderon 10g is a prescription topical treatment combining a medium‑to‑high potency corticosteroid (betamethasone valerate 0.12 %) and a potent antibiotic (gentamicin sulfate).
This formulation is intended for inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis) that are complicated by or at risk of secondary bacterial infection.
When applied to affected areas, the corticosteroid component helps reduce inflammation, itching, and redness by suppressing the local immune response and constricting blood vessels, while the gentamicin component combats bacterial organisms to prevent or treat infection.
It is available in an ointment or cream base and is typically applied in a thin layer to the lesion(s) once to several times daily, depending on medical direction.
